Juneau Candidates

Juneau’s two state representatives — District 3 Rep. Andi Story and District 4 Rep. Sara Hannan — are both running for reelection this fall. As of the candidate filing deadline, only Story has an opponent — Republican Annette Kreitzer. 

 
Sen. Jesse Kiehl is not up for reelection. All three state legislators are Democrats and first took office in 2019.

    • June 1: Candidate filing deadline
    • July 19: Deadline for voters to register to vote or update their registration for primary election. 
    • Aug. 18: Primary election. Polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
    • Oct. 4: Deadline to register to vote in general election. 
    • Oct. 19: Early voting begins
    • Oct. 24: Deadline to request an absentee ballot
    • Nov. 3: Election Day
    • Nov. 20: Ranked choice voting tabulation target date
    • Nov. 25: Target date for election certification
