Meet the candidates for the Juneau Assembly and the Juneau School Board in this forum hosted by The League of Women Voters of Juneau, KTOO, KINY and the Juneau Empire.
Key dates
- Sept. 4 – Last day to register in Juneau’s municipal election
- Sept. 13 – Ballots mailed from Washington state to all qualified registered Juneau voters
- Sept. 15 – Secure ballot drop box locations become available (Auke Bay-Statter Harbor boat launch parking lot or Douglas Public Library)
- Sept. 19 – Vote centers open for early and in-person absentee voting
- Sept. 27 – Last day to receive applications for ballot to be mailed to a temporary absentee address
- Oct. 4 – Election day; mailed ballots must be returned and postmarked by this day. Ballots can be returned at Juneau vote centers. Secure ballot drop boxes and vote centers are open until 8:00 p.m.
- Oct. 7 – Preliminary unofficial results posted
- Oct. 19 – 21 – Official election results certified
