Panel discussion: Preparing for the next glacial outburst flood

Join KTOO for an expert panel discussion on Juneau’s annual glacial outburst flood in the Thunder Mountain Middle School auditorium on Tuesday, June 30 at 6 p.m. 

Panelists will talk about the latest science guiding flood planning, the temporary flood wall made of HESCO barriers, future solutions and public safety. 

KTOO Climate & Environment Reporter Alix Soliman will moderate the one-hour panel discussion, followed by a 30 minute Q&A.

Join us for this in-person event to help inform the community as it prepares for the next anticipated flood later this summer.
