We’ll play a conversation between Andy Kline and Brooke Collins, who punched a bear; Steve McPhetres will be here to highlight the Grand Opening activities at the Church of the Holy Trinity; we’ll find out about a free workshop on becoming a U.S. citizen with Heather Parker from The Learning Connection; we’ll talk with organizers of the Art of Recovery exhibit opening Friday at the Silverbow; and Nancy DeCherney will be here with news and views about local activities during Arts Up.

We’ll talk to divas Eve Dillingham and Alaska’s Kit as they get ready for the Who’s Your Diva? Event; Ellen Carlee andcott Carlee, from the Alaska State Museum, will be here to talk about their Science Gun demonstrations on Friday and Saturday; we’ll talk with artists involved in the City Museum’s METALMORPHOSIS show; and stone sculptor, Bob Koenitzer, will be here to invite us to his First Friday reception at the Juneau Artists’ Gallery.

Two Tonight

My stories for tonight at 7 pm are going to be “Summer Notes” by Karen Parker and “Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary” by George Baxt. Two fun reads. ENJOY!

We’ll find out about the Climbing Wall at the Zach Gordon Youth Center, with guest, Dylan Miller; Ken Fix will be here to highlight tonight’s film at the Planetarium, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL; Kathy Ruddy, from Juneau Jazz & Classics, will be here with news about their upcoming event, SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN; Carin Smolin, Career Technical Education Coordiinator, will be here to talk about the after school classes available to JSD high school students that start next month.
