Laika dog on Crosscurrents, 11/3

Laika.GaWy_650x360A stray dog Laika from the streets of Moscow was the first animal to orbit Earth on this day in 1957.  Gavin and Wyatt pay their respects to Laika, described as “quiet and charming”, who lost her life on the space flight as the Soviet Union never intended to bring the little dog back to Earth.  You will be spared the fate of Sputnik 2 and assured of a return home by listening to Crosscurrents, 11/3 at 8 a.m.

The White House on Crosscurrents, 10/13

The White House cornerstone was laid on this date in 1792 leading to a design by architect James Hoban.  The original drafting sketch for The White House provides the background for Gavin and Wyatt as they survey the mansion grounds.  John will draft the melodic cornerstone for a musical White House salute which you can inspect on Crosscurrents, 10/13 at 8 a.m.
