Kate Burkhart, host of Tuesday “Tideline” and “Ambient Groove” has been selected as one of Alaska’s “Top 40 Under 40” by the Alaska Journal of Commerce. Way to go Kate!
Slovakian viola player Lukas Kmit was in the middle of performing at the Orthodox Synagogue in Presov, in Slovakia, when a cell phone in the audience began to ring. Kmit chose to use humor to diffuse an otherwise awkward moment.
The Windy Ridge Round-Up launched the 2011 KRNN Concert Series. It was a great night of music, community and fun. Collette Costa and Scott Burton hosted an amazing reunion of the Juneau folk music scene pioneers and torch-bearers, including Andy Ferguson, Jack Fontenella, Betsy Sims, Andrew Heist, and Sergei Morosan. A huge thanks goes to Scott for preparing the recording for radio and our website.
