Be sure to tune in this coming Monday night on KTOO at 7pm to hear Mind Over Matter with Dr. Elaine Schroeder.  Learn about what is being done to make your food, water, and air safer and how you can limit your exposure to toxins. Dr. Lauren Heine, an environmental engineer and a leader in the field of green chemistry will be there to share her expertise.

The theme for the evening is Grace. This will be the last event that sponsors Discovery Southeast. Beginning in February we will be donating our profits to Big Brothers Big Sisters through the end of the season, May 2014.

This week’s program will focus on possible erroneous assumptions that Western psychology has made about what we call human nature. Her guest will be Gary Weglarz, a Juneau psychotherapist who recently presented a paper at a national conference on this assumption shattering topic. So tune in this Monday to KTOO from 7 to 8 pm for a stimulating hour of discussion on just how culture-bound are our theories of human behavior.

Tonight’s guest: Elliot Adams (former VFP National Chairman) is now on a tour of the West Coast speaking about the imperative of closing Guantanamo prison.
