Pat Moore will guest host. He’ll talk with organizers of the upcoming SAIL Auction, Jorden Nigro and Kate Wolters; Paul Carroll and K. J. Metcslf will give us a preview of his talk on Wednesday on U.S. Nuclear Policy; we’ll get some insight into the Low Vision Support Group, with guests Janet Lumiansky and Dale Wygant; and we’ll learn about the Juneau Community Charter School’s upcoming trip to Denali & Fairbanks.

Juneau Afternoon 9/26/11

We’ll talk with Amy Skilbred and Zoe Morrison about Juneau’s Climate Action Plan; Amy Guilick will be here to give us a preview of her presentation tonight highlighting her book, Salmon in the Trees; we’ll talk with Pua Maunu & Sara Connaro about visiting local artists in their studios; and Tom Mattice will review lessons learned during last week’s Disaster Preparedness Expo.

Alaska Identity Project, 9/22/11

Tune into the Alaska Identity Project on Thursday, September 22 from 7-8 PM. Host Adrien Lopez will interview members of the delegation involved in the recent Alaska-Norway Policy Tour: Senator Hollis French (D – Anchorage); Executive Director of the Juneau Economic Development Council, Brian Holst; and Representative Paul Seaton (R – Homer).

We’ll find out about Friday & Saturday’s Alaska Preparedness Expo with guest Tom Mattice; Roblin Gray Davis, Rebecca Noon & Boston will be here to discuss Perseverance Theatre’s production of The 39 Steps; we’ll learn what to do with your junk and how to turn it into art, with guest, M. K. McNaughton from the CANVAS; and Nancy DeCherney will be here with news and views about local activities during Arts Up.
