Host Adrien Lopez interviews Dr. Keith Criddle, Director of the UAF Fisheries Division, for the first half hour, and Lise Falskow, Executive Director of the Alaska World Affairs Council, in the second half of the show.

7:00 – 7:30 PM – Dr. Keith Criddle
Dr. Keith Criddle is Director of the UAF Fisheries Division. The Fisheries Division supports undergraduate and graduate programs, research, and outreach with students, faculty, and staff in Fairbanks, Juneau, and Kodiak. Dr. Criddle was trained in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California Davis. He served on the Economics Faculty at UAF in Fairbanks from 1989-1998. He then headed the Economic Department at Utah State University for eight years before returning to UAF in Juneau as the Ted Stevens Distinguished Professor of Marine Policy. Dr. Criddle is a member of the National Research Council’s Ocean Studies Board and President of the Natural Resource Modeling Association. He teaches courses on the economics and management of fisheries, policy analysis, and statistics. His research is focused on the intersection between the natural sciences and economics and is driven by an interest in the sustainable management of marine resources. His published research has focused the management of commercial, sport, and subsistence fisheries in the North Pacific.

7:30 – 8:00 PM – Lise Falskow, President and CEO of Alaska World Affairs Council
Lise was born and raised in Alaska and holds a degree in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College. She worked as a CPA in Seattle, Washington and Zurich, Switzerland. She then helped establish a Financial Analyst Group for the Energy Division of a major oil company in Oslo, Norway. As a dual Norwegian and US Citizen, her interest in world cultures has taken her to many exciting places, including her return to Anchorage, Alaska. Lise has a passion for Music and Sports playing the piano professionally at various venues and participating in Ironman Triathlon Competitions.
