KXLL and the Roller Derby!!
KXLL was the first public radio station to EVER broadcast a live Roller Derby match!!! It was so much fun it is ridiculous. Roller Derby play-by-play man In DeKline teamed up with Money Honey to bring you every Block and Jam of the night!!
It was a close match with the Kilkats coming from behind to take the Raven Lunatics 103-73.
The broadcast was also video live-streamed on the web and played on 360 North Nov. 5 at 8 pm and 11 pm.
Big Check for Cancer Connection!
A check for $3,000, Part of the proceeds from the Battle of the Bands Battle Against Cancer was presented during a live broadcast on KXLL to Nicole Hallingstad of the Juneau Cancer Connection.
