7:30 – 8:00 PM: Nils Andreassen is the Managing Director of the Institute of the North. His background in rural and international development, Alaska policy issues and leadership development fit well within the Institute’s mission to research commonly-owned lands, seas and resources while educating and engaging Alaskans in the responsibilities of that ownership. The Institute has a legacy working on Arctic infrastructure priorities and policies that serve to strengthen and connect northern communities.

The Lopez family came to Alaska in the late 1940’s, originally settling in Fairbanks and then later in the community of Valdez as commercial fishermen. Tune in as Tillie, Tim and Eric tell their stories from the 1964 Earthquake, helping to build the Trans Alaska Pipeline, experiences cleaning up the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in 1989, living in a religious cult in Southeast Alaska, among many other stories from Alaska’s past.

This well-known Alaskan artist will be on the show from 7:30 – 8:00 PM talking about the Fin Art of Ray Troll and his impact on Alaska, his latest exhibits in the Lower 48, the music he makes with his band called The Ratfish Wranglers, and why Troll Global Industries are redefining the cosmos.
