Focus on Community – Peace Talk – 8-17-15
Monday at 7 p.m.: The documentary film Hunting in Wartime will be highlighted on Peace Talk. Produced and directed by independent filmmaker Samantha Farinella, the Vietnam War documentary explores of the lives of veterans who returned home to Hoonah, Alaska after serving combat tours in the during the height of the conflict. Farinella will discuss the story behind the film and her efforts to have it broadcast on PBS. And you’ll hear from two Hoonah veterans what the film has meant to them and their community as well as audience reactions to the screenings Farinella held in Hoonah, Juneau and Anchorage.
