Tune into the Alaska Identity Project on Thursday, March 8, 2012. Host Adrien Lopez will interview Amy Gulick, professional photographer and author of Salmon in the Trees: Life in Alaska’s Tongass Rain Forest, a 2010 Independent Publisher Book Award winner (7:00 – 7:30 PM), and then in the second half of the show talk with Lorrie Heagy, the 2011 Alaska Teacher of the Year from Glacier Valley Elementary School in Juneau (7:30 – 8:00 PM).

We’ll talk with Tom Cosgrove about his Nearly Normal Road Trip; we’ll talk with some of the people involved in Perseverance Theatre’s production of A Raisin in the Sun; Dr. Donald Stedman will be here with a preview of his talk tonight on Ozone Pollution; Jennifer Klein, from the Juneau Lighthouse Association, will be here to highlight tomorrow night’s fundraiser for the Five Finger Lighthouse; and Nancy DeCherney will give us the rundown on art happenings in the capital city during Arts Up.

Juneau Afternoon 3/6/12

Today at 3 on KTOO-FM on A Juneau Afternoon, Pat Moore will host. He’ll talk with Juneau Tenor Brett Crawford and his accompanist, Janis Capel, who will be appearing in a recital this Sunday at 3 p.m. at Northern Light United Church; Beverly Schoonover will highlight Saturday evening’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival at the JACC; Cheryl Levitt-Snyder will talk with Kate Glover and Rod Kadmus, currently resting in Costa Rica before the next leg of their round-the-world sailing expedition; and David Lendrum returns to update us on preparations for the Southeast Regional Science Fair to be held Friday and Saturday.
