House Bill 311 passed the Senate, but a change to the legislation was rejected by the House of Representatives. While the bill has garnered virtually no attention, it is opposed by staff of the Alaska Public Offices Commission – the agency that oversees disclosure of campaign financing.

House passes bill easing electronic campaign disclosure rules
Political candidates with limited Internet access or who don’t own a computer could get an exemption from a state requirement that they file campaign disclosure forms electronically under a bill passed by the state House this morning (Friday).

Eaglecrest survey results online
More than 1,000 people responded to an online survey on Juneau’s Eaglecrest Ski Area. Coupled with an earlier telephone survey of Juneau residents, the results are part of the master plan process underway by the Eaglecrest Board of Directors.
