Today at 3 on A Juneau Afternoon, Pat Moore will host. Katie Bausler will be here with an update on the UAS Sound & Motion series; Jeremy Johnson will be here to talk about gaming and the Pop-Up Geek Bazaar; we’ll learn about an upcoming lecture on Building the Business Case for Energy Efficiency from Dena Strait, an Energy Specialist with AHFC, and John Anderson, a Weatherization Engineer; Scott Willis will be here with a preview of his lecture tonight at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, where he’ll present pictures of the construction of the Salmon Creek Dam; and Lisle Hebert will be here to talk about the premiere of his new film, Little Red Book, which will have showings through Tuesday at the Gold Town Town theatre.

Alaska Identity Project

Tune into the Alaska Identity Project on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Host Adrien Lopez will interview Dr. Jeep Rice, Program Manager of Habitat Assessment & Marine Chemistry for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (NOAA). With the upcoming 23rd Anniversary of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, we’ll discuss his role and extensive field work conducted after that tragic event (7:00 – 7:30 PM). In the second half of the show, we’ll talk with Michael Goldstein, Executive Director of the Alaska Coastal Rainforest Center (7:30 – 8:00 PM).

We’ll find out about July’s Atlin Arts & Music Festival with guest, Kim Wenneke; Lauren Brooks will be here with a preview of next weekend’s NAEYC Conference; we’ll get the details about next week’s Choose Respect Rally & March, with guests John Moller and Saralynn Tabatchnik; Kathy Ruddy will give us a preview of tomorrow’s Art of Place Lecture and Demonstration; and Nancy DeCherney will give us the rundown on art happenings in the capital city during Arts Up.
