House adjourns
The Alaska House of Representatives adjourned sine die just before 5:30 p.m. today (Monday). In a news conference, House majority leaders blamed the Senate for not dealing with legislation that would formalize a plan for construction of a gas pipeline from the North Slope to Southcentral Alaska.
Senate adjourns, future of special session uncertain
The Alaska state Senate Thursday adjourned the special legislative session called by Governor Sean Parnell last week. The move followed Parnell’s unprecedented action Wednesday night of removing from consideration his bill to lower oil taxes.
