Alaska Identity Project 5/17/12

Tune into the Alaska Identity Project on Thursday, May 17, 2012. Host Adrien Lopez will first interview David D’Amore, Research Team Leader – Landscape Productivity Team of the Land and Watershed Management Program at the U.S. Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Research Station (7:00 – 7:30 PM). In the second half of the show, she’ll talk with Barney McClure, famous jazz pianist in town for Juneau Jazz & Classics (7:30 – 8:00 PM).

Today at 3 on KTOO-FM on A Juneau Afternoon, Pat Moore hosts. He’ll talk with Juneau Jazz & Classics featured performer Dee Daniels; we’ll find out about the 3rd Annual Wine-tasting fundraiser for the Jensen-Olsen Arboretum; Henry Real Bird will be here with a preview of his talk at UAS on Friday; we’ll hear about next Monday’s Mining lecture by David Stone and Scott Willis; and Nancy DeCherney will give us the rundown on art happenings in the capital city during Arts Up.

Juneau Afternoon 5/15/12

Today at 3 on KTOO-FM on A Juneau Afternoon, Pat Moore will host. He’ll talk with Jessalyn Rintala about the final weekend of Juneau Jazz & Classics; Jeff Van Vonderen and Matt Felix will give us a preview of Jeff’s talk tonight on intervention for addiction; we’ll find out about the Maritime Festival, rescheduled for this Friday, with guests Adrien Lopez and Jessy Post; and we’ll get the details about summer school for high schoolers, with guest, Bernie Sorenson.

Juneau Afternoon 5/14/12

We’ll talk with cellist Jeffrey Solow and pianist Yoni Levyatov, featured performers at this year’s Jazz & Classics Festival; we’ll meet Mark Collier, the new Food & Beverage Manager at the Mount Roberts Tramway; and we’ll find out about next weekend’s Hawk Inlet Cruise, sponsored by the Friends of Admiralty Island.
