Alaska Identity Project 11/3/11
The Lopez family came to Alaska in the late 1940’s, originally settling in Fairbanks and then later in the community of Valdez as commercial fishermen. Tune in as Tillie, Tim and Eric tell their stories from the 1964 Earthquake, helping to build the Trans Alaska Pipeline, experiences cleaning up the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in 1989, living in a religious cult in Southeast Alaska, among many other stories from Alaska’s past.

Left Hanging 11/1/11
For tonite’s show (provided there is one w/this weather) my stories are:
“The Return” by Fernando Sorrentino — Translated by Thomas C. Meehan
and
“Loss of Innocence” by Diana Reardon
I found this quote and I think it goes well with these stories.
You have to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you got and remember what you had, always forgive, but never forget, learn from your mistakes, but never regret, people change, things go wrong, just remember…life goes on.
