Today at 3 on KTOO-FM on A Juneau Afternoon, Pat Moore will host. He’ll talk with crafter Christina Rich, organizing a unique fundraiser for Relay for Life: it’s called Craft for the Cure; Ken Fix will be here to highlight tonight’s Planetarium presentation on Cronus and Saturn; We’ll get the details on this weekend’s Haunted House at the Nugget Mall from Stacey Poulson and Karen Banee-Pederson, and Alaska author Christie Loney will read from her book, Life on the Lynn.

Juneau Afternoon 10/24/11

We’ll talk with singer, Kathleen Wayne, about her performance during next Saturday’s Festival of Russian Culture; we’ll find out how you can help local families in need by contributing to the St. Vincent de Paul Thanksgiving Basket program; we’ll interview Joe Upton, author of Bering Sea Blues about the dangerous world of king crab fishing; and we’ll find out what the Juneau Lyric Opera’s up to.

Alaska Identity Project 10/20/11

In the first half hour Adrien talked with Dave Gaudet, Marine Debris Program Coordinator for the Marine Conservation Alliance Foundation, and then in the second part of the show she interviewed two guests from the organization OCEANA – Chris Krenz, Arctic Project Manager and Jon Warrenchuk, Ocean Scientist for Oceana’s Pacific Region based here in Juneau.

Amanda Compton will be interviewing the new director of The Canvas; and Russell Strandtman will give us a preview of his lecture on the South Pole explorations of Raould Amundson.
