The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority offered a prime piece of Juneau’s waterfront for sale last year. Prospective developers sent offers but have grown irritated that almost a year later there’s been no formal response.

The Airport Dike Trail is one of Juneau’s most accessible trails. But with dogs come dog waste, and the trail is often littered with bags of poop.

A flood warning is in effect Friday afternoon for Jordan Creek which has already crested to a record level. The National Weather Service says the rain is forecast to taper off by the evening.
